Peter Baumgarten is an award-winning professional photographer and educator based on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. He has led photography courses and workshops for novice and enthusiast photographers and travelled across North America as an OM System ambassador providing lectures and seminars on landscape, wildlife and astro-landscape photography.
His love of photography has also become a great excuse to continue his other passion: exploring the great outdoors through wilderness camping, canoeing and kayaking.

Nail Your Nocturnal Foreground
The night sky provides an incredible photographic backdrop for your astro-landscape images, but it is only that: a backdrop. The choices you make for the foreground are what will create photos that stand out.
Join Peter Baumgarten for an inspiring presentation focusing on fantastic foregrounds. He will dive into using props to enhance storytelling, crafting creative self-portraits, and making the most of lighting for texture, mood and atmosphere.
Peter will also show final examples that combine those foregrounds with Live Composite star trails, star points and more.
For both the beginner and the experienced photographer, this session is designed to spark new ideas that bring focus to the front.
